Move Along, Nothing to See Here!
I haven't updated my blog in a while because nothing is happening with race cars. There is a lot of stuff going on at the Harvey house but none of it has to do with building or driving race cars.
Traci and I have been thrashing on a new job that our company got that requires our direct involvement!
We had hoped that I would be able to spend a lot of time working on my cars to achieve the goals we set but that is not going to happen for a few months at least!
Yet again, it looks like I will not meet my timeline for testing "The Resurrection Project" this summer and testing "The Salvation Project" this winter. Everything will be getting pushed out to next year for sure. As Mike Janis Jr. says, "Patience is a virtue in drag racing".
I am not complaining, and I am glad to have the "real" work for our company as it has been a slow year for us. The oil and gas business is kind of whacky right now with all of the politics around energy but that is a whole different story!
We still have not gotten our chassis dyno with all of the supply chain issues our country is facing (do you see a trend here?). Once we get that, we will focus on "The Blue Banana" to make it competitive by testing it on the dyno and getting the EFI dialed in.
Such is life! There are ups and downs! It is how we deal with those ups and downs that matters. God is in control!
Whenever we get to accomplish our goals, it will be an awesome feat! I am blessed beyond belief to even get to try!!!!!
Since I don't have any race car content, I will just put this video of the next generation of crazy Harvey lineage. All of my kids, son-in-laws, and grandkids can ride motorcycles now with the exception of Eli (Annie's youngest). This is Jackee's youngest "M" taking her first ride on an electric motorcycle (stepping stone for the real deal). Eli will be making the leap as soon as he is old enough to ride.
Luke 1:37, For nothing will be impossible with God!
Sorry everything is kind of on hold, but we appreciate all that you sacrifice for us here at the office, Dad! Em is hooked now and wants to ride her "Statick" all the time. Good job, Poppy! Love you!
